Bluetooth pairing lost

I have a Jaybird earphone. On S7 edge, every time I try to connect, it ask me to pair. In previous Note 7, I only need to pair the first time and after it will connect. Any advice?

  @TS Chew Are you entering paring mode every time you turn the headset on? As soon as you see the blue light you can release the power button.

  no.. it is in on mode...with blue light. If I select jaybird freedom 4 on my phone, it will say cannot communicate with the earphone. and then I will have to pair again. I tried on another phone, same issue. Is there a way to hard reset the earphone?

  I did some further test. After first pairing and connection. I turned of the earphone, leaving bluetooth on my phone ON. Then I turn on the earphone, my phone prompted earphone request for pairing. So it seems the earphone always start in pairing mode some how and lost the previous paired profile?

  Hi,

   

  I did further tests. It seems that the earphone could not retain the paired profile? or it goes into pairing mode? I make sure that I let go of the button when the light turns blue. Any way to hard reset or update the firmware?

  @TS Chew Yes, I will list that below. Please let me know if that helps. 

   

  During the pairing mode ( red / green ) it is possible to reset your headphones. First follow the steps to enter pairing mode. By powering up the headset, holding past the ( green ) led light till you receive the multi color flashing.  Then instantly switch and hold the up & down key simultaneously until the dual color status indicator LED rapidly flashes 5 times and or a double high tone is heard threw the headset.

   

  You'll want to delete & repair the headset to your music player once finished with that.
