Do the X4 turn off automatically?

I have seen several posts that claims that the X4 should turn off automatically, but also one that says that they do not. What is correct? Is there any way to turn them off automatically? Thanks!

  If they are connected to a Bluetooth signal they will not turn off automatically.
  If they are not connected to anything then they will turn off automatically.
  If you plug them in to charge while they are on (which is unadvisable) then they will turn off automatically and disconnect from any Bluetooth signal.

  OK, thanks! Do you know if this is the same for the other Jaybird models, or only for the X4?

  I know that it happens for at least the X3's but I don't know about the others, but I would assume so.
