Vista Equalizer Apple Watch
On my Jaybird X3 I could set a personalized equalizer and it would apply no matter to what device the headphones paired. It seems that with my new Vista headphones, I lose the equalizer settings if I am not connected with my phone. Is that correct?
If so that is too bad. I run with my Apple Watch, and while the headphones are comfortable to use, and sound good with the iPhone, the sound is disappointing with the Apple Watch. Is there any way to transfer the equalizer settings onto the headphones to use with the watch? Certainly JayBird does not expect me to run with my phone! What did you folks have in mind? I am close to simply returning them and trying something else.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

It always helps to follow directions. After I paired my Vista's with the app, I was able to apply my personal EQ which stuck with the headphones. I ran this morning with the Vista's, heard the heavy bass profile I prefer with music from my Apple watch, and felt great. I'll save my AirPod Pro's for lighter duty at home and office. These are definitely keepers and running buddies.
