    Hello David/Richard,

Thank you for reaching out. I'll be happy to help you with this one.

Please follow these recommendations if you haven't already done so:

-Check the buds if they are on the latest firmware

    1. Download and open the Jaybird App.

    2. In Headphones tab, check if there is a new update available. If not, your earbuds are up to date.

    If not, here's how:

    1. Place the earbuds in the charging case and leave the case lid open.

    2. Download the Jaybird App and connect the Jaybird Vista earbuds to your phone:

      • Go to Headphones tab → Support

    3. Your Vista firmware version will be displayed after the App build number.

    4. If there is a firmware update available the Jaybird App will prompt you to install it.

You can further isolate the issue by connecting the buds to a different device or a device with a different OS and check if the buds are clean and free of debris.

Feel free to reach back to us by replying to this post or contacting our other support channels at https://www.jaybirdsport.com/en-us/support.html

    Warm Regards,

Hi i have the same problem and i Only have my jay birds for a couple of months! I also think that I felt a difference in the sound level of the right earbud.
Did you get any help with this problem

I have the same issue where the left earbud volume is lower than the right. I have the latest firmware, have tried on other operating systems, and ensured that no debris is blocking the earbud. Help with this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Bruce,

I tried everything you mentioned.  It has the same problem.  Is there anything else to do? I'm quite disappointed as this was recommended as a good quality earpod for running or exercise, though to have a problem this early in the purchase it makes me question the product and company. I have noticed this seems to be a regular problem as well, seeing everyone else's comments...

i have had the same exact problem, after 6 months of using it, and it is a shame because i love jaybird, i have been with you guys since 2014 with the jaybird X1 and then X3 and now vista and first 6 months it ran superbly and suddenly one day the left earbud had this problem, it is still working but at like 30% volume and there is no firmware update. I reached out to you guys and your support team is only copy pasting your FAQ section from your website and it is really not helpful and now you guys have asked me to contact my point of purchase (Best buy Canada) and i am sure they will say we cannot help you, contact the manufacturer, but then what happens to customers? who solves my problem. if it is known problem, you guys could role out a firmware update for everyone.

    Hi Aniket,

Just to be clear, my problem has not be resolved and no one has reached out to me aside from the "copy and paste" message.

They also stopped replying on this message...

    So an update for everyone:

Support contacted me awhile ago and asked for a photo of my screen showing that indeed my firmware has been updated.  I did this but have not received a reply.  It has been over a week so I just sent them another email.

I am sure everyone is like me where they would like to have this resolved so we can move on with our lives from at least this problem.

Same problem with left ear bud + slow meltdown of other functionality. Over it.

Guys, I purchased my vista a couple of months ago and got the same issue. At the end of a run the left bud went to 20-30% volume compared to the right one. I turned back to factory mode, updated the firmware, reset all bluetooth connections and nothing. Have anyone reveived any feedback from Jaybird?

Yes. I left a lot of messages and was persistent with them. They gave me instructions on what to do. It still didn’t fix anything. Finally, they mailed me a new pair, free of charge. I was grateful for them replacing it, but I wonder how long these will last as this seems to be a manufacturing error. If they last a few years, great. I’ll consider staying with them. If this pair develops a similar problem, I’ve learned my lesson. Hope this helps...

I purchased my vistas just under a year ago I believe from best buy, I previously had the one ear silent and other ear screeching error but that was resolved with letting it run out of charge, now my left earbud will still control but has a Max of maybe 5 or 10% volume, I have done all the soft and hard and factory resets to no avail, and force updated the buds repeatedly with no change, has there been a solution to this problem?

    Hello,

Got this one fixed. I've had the same problem with the left bud fading out a few times. I tried all the fixes mentioned above yet they had no effect. The solution which worked is to connect the buds to your phone, leave the buds on the tabble and put some music on and put the volume on max. I left them on the tabble for some 45 minutes and the left bud now works fine. Caution! Do not wear the buds while volume on max to avoid damage to your ears. It would be nice to hear if this helped others with the same problem.

Thanks to Anton - absolutely worked for me..." The solution which worked is to connect the buds to your phone, leave the buds on the table and put some music on and put the volume on max...

Now the only question is why? I had these for 6 months all good then whilst using them today out on a run the  left volume just dipped right down.
