Same thing happened to my X4 this week. Mine is less than 3 months ago so I assume it is still covered under warranty.

OK, here's an update with my X4's.  After sitting on my desk for the past month, I decided to try charging my headphones again.  All my previous attempts weeks earlier resulted in the green light turning on immediately when it should have been red, signaling that the headphones were actually charging.  To my surprise, this morning, the red light turned on when I put the headphones on the charger.  I let them sit on the charger for 30 minutes or so and then attempted to turn them on.  For some reason, the headphones started working again.  I had given up on these X4s and went out and purchased a different brand of headphones, but now I have two pairs of headphones that are working.

I have a feeling that the x4s are not as sweatproof as we are led to believe.  I can't think of any other reason why my headphones would not function at all for over a month and then, all of a sudden turn on, if there was not some moisture that had seeped in to the electronics and caused a malfunction.  Now that the moisture has had a chance to evaporate or dissipate, the headphones are working again.

This moisture in the electronics theory may not actually be the case for everyone, but it may offer an explanation as to why we are seeing the headphones malfunction at such a high rate.

In all, I am disappointed that we are being led to believe that the x4 headphones are sweatproof when they are likely not extremely effective.

That could definitely be the cause for me. I use mine regularly for working out.

Really hoping that mine magically start working...

I have the same problem. I have had these earphones for only a few months. Is it a firmware issue or is it indeed due to moisture entering the device? I use these often for working out.
