    Hi Andreas,

Thank you for reaching out. This definitely shouldn't be happening, let me help you.

Please check your buds are clean and free of debris.

Here is a list of steps for the Factory Reset that will help resolve the issue:

    1. Put your buds in pairing mode. Turn the buds off, then press and hold the Power Button for more than 4 sec until you see alternating red/green LED.
    2. While the LED is flashing red / green double press the Power Button.
    3. The LED will turn orange and your buds will turn off.

You can further isolate the issue by testing using a different device or a device with a different OS and checking the voice prompts if it plays on both sides.

Thanks Bruce. I have tried all the step mentioned above, but to no success. The right ear bud is still dead. I do belive that this has nothing to do with connectivity issues or software issues as the the right ear buds sometimes comes to life when I wiggle the wire back and forth. It seems to be a quality issue with the x4 as I read similar posts here.

    Hi.

I have the same issue. Right earplug is not working. It just died suddenly, even though it was not exposed to water or sweat. I got mine 15th april 2019, as a replacement product, because my old ones failed to function too. A replacement for the new ones were rejected, since the warranty for my first pair has expired. That was really disapointing, since my new product is less than 10 months old, and I really did not do anything unusual while using the product. I really like Jaybird, but I agree that the quality and viability of the products are not good enough taken the price of the products in mind. Guess it's my last Jaybird product.

I agree Kristoffer. My jaybird X3 stopped charging, and now my X4’s right ear bud dies just after the warranty had passed. I was thinking about buying the new jaybird vista, but unfortunately, I feel that I just can’t trust the quality of Jaybirds products.

Same here as well! 😩 Have either of you been in contact with Jaybird since you’ve last posted? Mine are also replacements when my x3’s suddenly just quit. So disappointing!

    Hi Crystal,

No, I have not received any more feedback from jaybird than the standard response above. I tried to get a refund from the retailer but they could not help me because the warranty had expired by a couple of days :(

Ugh so disappointing. I’ve been with jaybird since the x2’s came out and have had to keep upgrading, each time I cross my fingers hoping they will last longer than a year.

Probably time to switch to a different brand for me. Dead birds after a year sucks.
