I've been a religious user of the Jaybird product line all the way back to the original Bluebuds X, but a couple years ago there was a shifting point.
When I bought the X3s, I probably went through 3 pairs in 18 months as they kept on dying.
On top of that, what used to be a standard USB charging port was replaced with the proprietary charging cradle, which means that you need to get on a waiting list to buy an extra one for your car / work / etc.
And on top of that, the proprietary charging cradles dont work between the X3 / Tarah / Tarah pro
Now I upgraded to the Tarah Pro, and within two weeks, the battery is dead.
Jaybird makes one of the few lightweight, sports-oriented tethered earbuds product, and I've been a fan for a long time. But the last year and a half or so have made me seriously consider finding something else. I thought that maybe the Tarah Pro redesign would restore my confidence, but it seems like my problems are not unique.
