Call quality terrible for other side, literally zero noise cancellation

    Hi Karim,

Thank you for reaching out. I'll be happy to help you with this one.

If you’re getting complaints from the party on the other side of a call with your Jaybird earbuds, try the following suggestions:

    • Try to keep the mic or inline remote as close to your mouth as possible and avoid swaying or rubbing it on your clothing
    • If you’re doing something active and receive a call, try taking a break and be stationary
    • Move away from large crowds or busy areas

    Warm Regards,

    Hi Bruce,

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, even if I put the mic right in front of my mouth, it still picks the outside noise more than my voice. Also, you cannot really assume that I will always be in super quite environments with no one around me, I bought the X4 so I can talk at home, walking in the street, sitting in a cafe or an office with other people around. In all cases where the X4 sounded terrible, I switched to the phone mic and the quality becomes perfect. Phone mics do very good noise isolation these days, but with these earbuds it feels like there is absolutely no isolation. For example, if I am sitting in a bus, and someone behind me is talking, the earbuds pick up their voice more than they pick mine, when I am talking directly into the mic! It is like the mic is doing the exact opposite job of what it should be doing. Like I said, I like almost everything else about the X4, so this is quite disappointing.

    Thank you for your time.

I also am having the same exact problem. Everyone I speak with tells me to take them off the Bluetooth as they hear everyone around me louder than myself. This is with the mic literally by my cheek/mouth. I’ve attempted to hard reset the x4’s with no success. It’s a shame because I do like the headphones but one of the main functions why I purchased them is to use the mic.

I find it quite humorous of the comment stating that you need to be still, in a quiet place, with no one around you. Seriously???
