    Thanks for all the feedback and sorry for the delayed response.

    The Jaybird team has been looking into this and the issue is a firmware issue. It will be fixed via an update sent next week. This update will be available from the Jaybird app.

    I'm having the same issue. Vista maximum loudness isn't anywhere near my old pair of Run. Waiting for support team to get back to me. Have you found solution yet?

    I'm pretty sure they're not loud on purpose so that it "increases" the battery life. 

    I noticed when they released the Tarah Pro with insane battery life, they made them much quieter so at max volume, they are using less power than say an X2 or X3 at max volume. 

    Disappointing as I am coming from X2's and the vistas may be just over half the volume of my X2's.

    So an update, I've got the XT's 2day and I still have the Vista's. 

    So did a side by side comparison... and it is insane how big the difference is in volume between the 2.

    The XT's are way way way! louder then the Vista's. 

    Can't believe that this hasn't come up in any review I've saw or I have read. (other then the one on Android Central)

    I'm returning the Vista's even though they have better/newer technology the max volume is a deal breaker for me.

    Just got my vista's today and was disappointed in the volume. Came here but didnt find answers. However, in the app, I was able to change the long hold button control to do volume. This allowed me to get the volume up to an acceptable level. I then changed the long hold to be power again. Now the max volume on my phone actually gets the buds to full volume. Yay!

    Clark,

    Could you let me know if the volume is fixed after the FW update? I'm still in my "return period" for the Run XT's

    I had previous jaybirds that I lost and decided to give the vista's a try.  I definitely noticed the lower maximum volume but my jaybird app prompted me to download firmware 1.1.6 and the issue was immeadietly fixed!

    Nope - returning them for now, maybe it's bc they are so new.  Hopefully they get it corrected

    I suspect that it was deliberately done so too. Very disappointing. However, I have contacted the support team and am still waiting to hear from them to see if there is a way to increase the volume level to match Run

    I received my vista's today and the volume is considerably lower than my run XT's that I had.

    If anyone gets this resolved it would be good if you could share.

    Still waiting to hear back from the technical support team. Strongly suggest that you get in touch with Jaybird too. There has to be a way to fix this issue. Hopefully it's as simple as updating the software

    I have the same version. The Android Central review mentions that Jaybird said a firmware update was coming to address the low volume issue:

    Of course they also mention there's a triple press to go back function which is incorrrct...

    I'm experiencing the exact same thing, returned the Run XT's because the Vista's where coming out. 

    Now I have the Vista's and thinking about returning them and getting the XT's back.

    Hmmm if you are waiting for that long and still no definitive answer...that's enough reason for me to return the Vista's and reorder the XT's. 

    I need a lot of volume to get trough my heavy squat sessions. :-)

    Hi There, I've returned the XT's to get the Vista's. Which I do have right now, they are awesome.
    But the max volume is substantially lower than the XT's

    Me: Yes tried everything :-( I'm a bit disappointed the XT's had flaws that the Vista's don't have
    But the volume is just too low for my taste, ive read an article on android central that is too be fixed in a future firmware update. Do you know anything about that?
    Mark: Sorry but we don't have any update regarding that. Have you tried pairing them with a different Bluetooth device?
    Me: Yep, still not as loud as the XT's
    Mark: Sorry to hear about that. Are your buds ordered from our website?
    Me: From bol.com A trustworthy reseller for sure.
    Mark: Alright. Thank you for the information. You can return the product back to the retailer for a refund or replacement.

    Ted6165, thanks for sharing your experience with us. FYI still waiting to hear back from Customer Care since August 30. Can't believe how bad the jaybird customer care has become. 

    Jeremy, most of us have tried maximized the volume (same way you did) but it's still not to the satisfactory level we are expecting of Vista unfortunately. I think if Vista allows us to go extra 10% of the volume would have been fantastic. Other than that, I really like the fit, design of earbuds and the case.

    Jeremy Haddock "fix" worked for me. Previously the max volume was annoyingly low when coupled with a lot of background noise but now max volume is where I'd expect... loud enough that it is only suitable for the briefest of periods.

    Ted6165, sorry for late reply. After the firmware update, I must say the volume has increased to an acceptable level. It is still not on par with Run though. But I am hoping Jaybird would increase the volume capacity again in the next firmware update. Overall, I do like Vista now.

    And walk around smiling knowing that the Vista's will never match the XT's volume wise.

    Richard, even after the firmware update, the volume still needs a couple notches louder, I’m afraid. I’m glad the ‘play previous track’ is now enabled. I’m hoping Jaybird is working on increasing the volume again in the next firmware update.

    I am on the latest firmware and I feel as though they have fixed the volume issue. I am now using them at my typical volume range. 

    I am now waiting on a latency fix.

    v1.1.5 is the latest firmware, yes?  I couldn't find any webpage to confirm this.

    1.1.5 is the latest I have. I also think the volume is better than it was (comparable to X4s), but I don't have the XTs to compare the difference for those.
