    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for reaching out. This is definitely not an expected behavior.

    Here is a list of steps for the Factory Reset that will help resolve the issue:

    1.Make sure your buds are powered off.
    2.From an off state, press and hold the power button for 8 seconds until the LEDs flash red and green.
    3.Double press the power button. The LED will flash rapidly and you should hear a double tone. Your buds have now been reset.

    I ran into this problem myself a couple days ago.

    The above recommendation is completely useless advice. The folks providing this answer don't seem to understand how completely inoperative the X3s are when they are in this state. 

    I did manage to figure a way out of this the other day. Download the utility to update the firmware on your X3s and force a firmware update to it. I did that with mine and it seemed to reset it from whatever confused state it was in. I was able to power on/off, repair, etc. afterward.
