These were replacement earbuds. The metal tip that holds the eartips on fell off this morning. Looks like the glue that holds these on was not good. Had these for less than a year, but since they were replacing a different pair I was told there is nothing you can do. I asked the support associate how long the earbuds should last and was told, at least a year. But these didn't last a year, and there was nothing that can be done. When I asked why I should buy a new pair if they will only last a year, and he mentioned that he has had several pair and they typically last about 2.5 years. But if I am going to spend so much on a pair of earbuds why would I only want them to last 1-2.5 years? I asked if it would make more sense to spend this money on a different brand to see if they would last longer. He said that as a consumer I could buy any pair that I wanted. What I wanted was to know why I should buy Jaybird if they only last a year or so, but I guess there is nothing to separate them from other companies out there. It seems like they would stand behind a pair of replacement buds the same as they would stand behind a new pair, but maybe I am just getting something that refurbished for all I know.
