I have had two pairs of Tarah pro were both of them broke after installing the firmware update. It will show 100% finished installing, to then get stuck during "rebooting". The earbuds never reboots.
I have had my phone and earbuds close to each other during the whole installing process. I haven't interrupted it. The earbuds are totally non responsive at this point. Soft, hard, or factory reset doesn't do anything. The LED light never flashes. Connecting the earbuds to a power source doesn't do anything either. They are completely dead.
I don't know if there's an issue with my Android phone (Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite), the Tarah pro's itself, or the Jaybird app.
The problem seems serious, but nobody is really talking about it. I'm not really here to take advice on how to fix them as I'm totally sure that these earbuds are totally broken. I have already talked to customer service about a refund. They were also kind enough to offer me Jaybird Run XT as a replacement, but I rejected the offer as I rather want the refund.
This post was more created as a warning to NOT update the firmware until Jaybird themselves has at least made a statement that the Jaybird app has fixed the issue. Maybe the problem is even deeper than that. Maybe the problem is with the earbuds themselves. Hopefully that's not the case as Jaybird is still selling this product to this date.
