    Hi Surya,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

How are you checking the battery level? Are you showing a red light while the buds are plugged onto a charging clip/power source for 2.5 hours?

Your Jaybird X3 LED will light up green when it's fully charged and connected to the charging cradle. When unplugged, the LED light would turn off to conserve the battery.

You can check your X3 battery status in a couple of ways:

    • When X3 are on and not playing music, pressing “Volume +” or “Volume -” will announce the battery level. The LED will indicate a single green flash for more than 10% battery remaining and a single red flash when below 10%.

    • Your X3, phone and the Jaybird App will also indicate battery status. Please be aware the voice notification on the X3 will round the battery level to the closest 20% and the MySound app will give the X3 battery level to within 1%.

I am having the same issue.  Additionally, the red light stays on no matter what.  I have been having issues with my earbuds ever since the firmware update, from the buds dying when they still had 60% charge to now the LED light issue.  I have even tried a reset which did not work either.

    Hi Alfie,

I am sorry to hear that your Jaybird X3's red LED does not turn off. This is not the quality we're expecting from our product.

I've sent you an email with details on how we will proceed with this one.

The easiest way to contact us from here on will be via the email I sent, if you do not get the email, please give us a call on 866.244.3399.

    Mr Bruce,
Which one tells the accurate charge percentage, the voice in the earbuds or the app?
