    Hi Waldemir,

I am sorry to hear that your Jaybird X3 won't turn on. This is not the behavior and performance expected from the product.

Please try these suggestions that can help to resolve the issue of your headset:

    - Computers are the best and safest method, as is anything 1 AMP or less.
    - Try a different power source/charger
    - Car chargers produce a much greater power supply and should be avoided.
    - Over-charging the battery will quickly reduce the life of the headphones, so in addition to monitoring the power supply, limit the charge time to 2.5 hours,
    - To get the most out of your battery it is recommended to charge the buds when the low battery status is indicated.
    - Avoid charging your headphones after exposure to sweat.
    - Make sure charging port/cradle is clear of any debris.

    Hi, Bruce.

I still have been with the problem. My Jaybird X3 won't turn on. I used the 2 reset models (Factory reset and 8 Button process) and I tried to charge in another computer, but the problem wasn't solved. When I try to charge (at any computer) the LED status lights has been green, but the equipement won't turn on.

What do I need to do? Is there another reset model?

    Hi Waldemir,

    I appreciate the update.

Is it possible for you to try and plug the buds to an outlet using a wall adaptor? This will help us further isolate the issue.

Thank you for understanding and I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi Bruce,

Could I use an I-Phone's charge adapter for this?

    Best Regards

    Waldemir

    Hi Team,

I am facing the exact same problem, tried both methods, & both usb & wall charger, but no luck.

It may turn on randomly again & once I'll power off, the same issue would re-occur. Please suggest for a permanent resolution.

    Hi, Bruce.

We are 3 now with the same problem. I did your suggestion ("try and plug the buds to an outlet using a wall adaptor") and the problem wasn't solved. What should I do now?

I posted on Jaybird's official Fb page as well, goes to show how they treat their customers. Shame!

The same problem for me. I've tried both reset methods to reset. Are there any other suggestions? The charger light stays green but won't turn on.

I got mine from Amazon yesterday and only bought them because of the 4.5 star rating. They worked one time today and now will not power on. Why don’t we all leave a one star so people like us don’t keep buying garbage that doesn’t work. They clearly aren’t fixing the issue
    Disappointed customer

I am now in the same situation! Have tried all above suggestions and still not able to power up!

I’m in the same boat, they won’t turn on but are showing a full charge. My wife got them for me off Amazon for Xmas. Having read this lot I’m returning them for a refund. What a disgrace!

Same here to. I have the x3's for over a year now. Never had a problem but they just stopped working. If I place them in the charger the led is green, indicating that it's full. It doesn't respond to the reset options stated above here. Is there another solution ? Jaybird_Bruce ?

Same here. I have been meticulous in how I have looked after these headphones and they have only had light use but today they stopped working and will not switch on. In the charging cradle the green led switches on but that is it. None of the reset instructions work. Very disappointed. I will likely not be buying the Jaybird brand again.

Same problem here. Plugging in shows green. None of these reset methods seem to do anything for me.

I’ve moved on but I will never buy this brand again. If you search this is clearly a recurring issue across the line.

These are the crappiest headphones in the world. I have been through THREE pairs in only one year (I only got subsequent ones because they were warranty replaced for free - I would never buy these again).

All had the same problem: after a few weeks/months they would stop turning on. No amount of resetting or whatever would fix the problem.

I eventually took one pair apart to see what might be going on. What I believe happens is one of the following:

    1. The button/battery housing is not very waterproof (despite what Jaybird says) so that when you sweat on them, eventually this gets into the housing and shorts out the button circuits, so they always register key presses. This drains the battery and doesn't let you turn it on.

    2. The rubber button nubbin under the buttons eventually becomes mis-aligned, so that eventually the same keypress problem as above occurs.

In my case I was able to get them to work by taking the cover off the buttons (use a knife or very small, sharp screwdriver to pry the plastic apart on the button side) and charging it this way. Then, carefully putting it back on before running.

Obviously this is a non-sustainable solution as before long the plastic tabs on the case will just break.

In sum: if you're under warranty, get them replaced. If not, throw them out and get something else.

Have the same problem. I'm not sure if I have had them a year or two. They sounded good in the beginning. Normally I expect things like these to work at least three years.

Sadly, no solution nor appropriate support from JB. They will probably contact you to offer you a discount and that’s it. I moved to a different brand, lower price, better warranty... friends in running and cycling community are now aware of this issue including the poor handling by Customer Service. Priced as Top-Notch but not backed with appropriate level of service in comparison with many other Top-Notch brands.

Agree Angel and with others above. Mine stopped charging/working after 2 years of infrequent use. I will never buy the brand again after the poor customer support.

I’m having the same problem and I cannot get them to work. Whenever it is charging in the port, the light is green, but if I take the headphones off and try to turn them on—they won’t.
