Jaybird 3 won't turn on

  • Bruce

    Hi Mike SCaefer,

I am sorry to hear that your Jaybird X3 won't turn on. This is not the behavior and performance expected from the product.

Please try these suggestions that can help to resolve the issue of your headset:

    - Computers are the best and safest method, as is anything 1 AMP or less.
    - Try a different power source/charger
    - Car chargers produce a much greater power supply and should be avoided.
    - Over-charging the battery will quickly reduce the life of the headphones, so in addition to monitoring the power supply, limit the charge time to 2.5 hours,
    - To get the most out of your battery it is recommended to charge the buds when the low battery status is indicated.
    - Avoid charging your headphones after exposure to sweat.
    - Make sure charging port/cradle is clear of any debris.

    Warm Regards,

This appears to pretty much be a standard response. I have been charging the device from the same source since I purchased it. It has been working and simply failed to turn on even though on the previous use it indicated that there was still 80% of the battery available. With so many comments of similar problems on your support site it appears that this is a problem that needs to be corrected with the device and not by a response with list of things attempting to point the blame elsewhere. It is very obvious that I will be going in a different direction for my next purchase.

I am having the same issue described Mike Schafer. Can we send Jaybird our faulty devices in exchange for a pair that works?

Same issue as Mike.  My headphones today decided to just top working, after still being at 60-80%, I turned off and when trying to turn them on today, they wouldn't power on.  Plugged into charger, and the power light was green, but still no audio indicator.  Would appreciate support to reset to factory settings, or replacement.  I spent a lot of money on these headphones because they were the best reviewed Bluetooth headphones for running.

And I am sitting here with same problem. 20% on my X3. Charged them. As always. Less than one hour. Charge-light was green... and then nothing. Won’t turn on... very frustrating.

I have the same issue. They will not charge, no light comes on, they will not turn on. What can I do to get a replacement?
