    Hello DT18,

I am sorry to hear that your Jaybird X3 does not hold a charge. I can assure that this is not the behavior and performance expected from the product. Please try these suggestions that can help to resolve the issue of your headset:

    - Computers are the best and safest method, as is anything 1 AMP or less.

    - Try a different power source/charger

    - Car chargers produce a much greater power supply and should be avoided.

    - Over-charging the battery will quickly reduce the life of the headphones, so in addition to monitoring the power supply, limit the charge time to 2.5 hours,

    - To get the most out of your battery it is recommended to charge the buds when the low battery status is indicated.

    - Avoid charging your headphones after exposure to sweat.

    - Make sure charging port/cradle is clear of any debris.

Yep, do all that. I am very disappointed in Jaybird. The support area is full of people discussing battery issues.

I can charge the X3s and they work. I listen to them and they work well. Turn them off, let them sit for a day or two, and they are completely dead. So frustrating.

I have noticed the same thing since updating the firmware. Keep in mind, this is AFTER I've had the X3's (and previously the X2's) lock up at full charge and need to drain the battery for up to a week (while off, which is odd) in order to recharge and somehow bring them back to life. Now, I've noticed the same thing that you mention, the battery drains while off.

I've confirmed this is the last set of headphones I get from jaybird, but when you pay out the wazoo for bluetooth headphones, you kind of expect them to last just a little longer than 6 months.

Jaybird did the right thing while I was in warranty, and replaced the buds, but once I was out of warranty (a year) with 2 replacements, they refused it. This is an unfortunate business model; all said, you're buying a yearly service subscription (headphones that are replaced when they break down) more than a product.

Sorry to hear you have issues as well. It took me a year to understand all the complaints on these forums about customer service; now that I'm out of warranty of the original purchase (not the replacement dates), it makes perfect sense why people are as angry as they are.
