I guess I’ll have to do a return and try out another brand...

Am experiencing the same thing, lows and mids are fine, highs are getting terribly distorted. Have tried a hard reset of the headphones but it didn't fix the issue, hoping for a response from jaybird as i see no way to downgrade or backup to the earlier firmware.

Just got my Runs. Out of the box audio quality was great, connectivity was spotty. Ran the update now quality is awful all the time, and bluetooth connection is solid. Very disappointing as a longtime X3 user. I'm no audiophile, but the quality is so bad on 1.1.0, that the Runs are now unusable. I'd rather have spotty connection than awful audio.

On 1.0.4 it was really good but on 1.1 the sound quality is worse.

Jaybird is not addressing the issue at all. Heck, I don’t even think they are monitoring the forum. Not listening to our voices.

Exchanged them for a pair of B&O Beo E8s. Awesome awesome pair, highly recommend.

Good for you. I refuse to spend $300 on a product that will be outdated in the next year because this technology is new. Jaybird needs to workout some kinks but they are not as bad as people make them out to be.

I've signed up because this apparently is a widespread problem, which is not being addressed (quick) enough.

Primary choice for the X2, multiple Freedoms an X3 and now the RUN has always been SOUND QUALITY.

I've seen overall built quality decrease - being a pro/heavy user - this is an undeniable fact I learned to deal with - but this latest sound quality issue is making it really hard to keep the faith and stay positive towards this company....

Especially since you've made it increasingly hard to RMA (from Europe) which I needed to do on a 5 month old X3.....and bought this RUN, as replacement.

Come on guys, We're the ones speaking out, because we care - It would be nice, decent, respectful, marketing-savvy and 'a lot more, if you help us out and AT least keep us posted with regards to progress / development of a firmware that will sove this - or at the very least - give us the choice to downgrade!

I’ve got same problem. One earbud sounds great (right one) but when i turn on left i get distorted sound. I think they tried to upgrade connection between earbuds but nessed up sound quality...

EDIT: reseting earbuds somehow helps but still x3 are much better :(

Sadly because of this problem i returned the Run twice, the first pair because i hoped to get them without the update, but the second pair came already with the newest firmware.

Sorry Jaybird, they have been some of the best headphones i've ever had, handling, style, fitting... but sound quality this bad in this price segment... thats a no go.

The X3's are better sound-wise, but mine broke within a few monthts - also - the Jaybird service was OK when I got to deal with them directly - However now they refer me to take the X3 backl to the store (A webshop/store in a neighbouring, but other country, before I can claim warranty).... So thats 4 Jaybird products within the last 12 months. Of which only the RUN works - but with horrendous sounds....

The fit of the RUN is perfect - even better than the X3's (and Freedoms, off course) - but the sound renders it useless.

    Really terrible....

Did anyone find a solution ? The run are useless with 1.1 firmware.
