I'm love Jaybird RUN sound, but that cannot use for watching movie.The reason is the audio cannot sync with video, the sound always delay. No matter on Youtube or any downloaded movies. Can anyone let me know how to fix it ?

    Thank you for purchasing the Jaybird RUN and for being a Jaybird fan. I am sorry to hear that the audio on your Jaybird RUN is delayed and occurs on different devices.


    I would like to know the following details to check the issue further.


    Does the issue occur during normal music/video listening and no internet/WiFi connection involved?

    Do you experience the issue on specific apps and/or audio/video file types?

    Does the issue occur when doing specific daily activities (i.e while running or household chores)?


    For now, I would like to perform a factory reset on the Freedom and do test on any of your devices while the Jaybird App is installed.


    -Factory Reset


    To soft reset your right earbud:


    -Place your right earbud into the charge case and close the lid.

    -Open the charge case and remove your earbud.


    To hard reset your right earbud:


    -Turn off your right earbud by pressing the right multifunction button for 3 seconds.

    -With your right earbud off, press and hold the right multifunction button for 6 seconds until the LED flashes green.

    -Double press the right multifunction button. The LED will flash orange and the earbud will turn off. Your earbud has now been reset.

    Hi Axel, Thanks for your reply. I use Jaybird RUN anywhere actually. Especially, when I at home, watch the movie by Jaybird RUN. I try to use Wifi or 3G network, that is same , sound delay around 300ms~500ms. I also try to download the MP4 file to watch locally, and I play by VLC player. it is same same, no change, sound delay. I will try to hard-reset. I will report to you later on.     I tried factory reset and hard reset.

    There is nothing change.

    Video and Audio still cannot sync.

    I feel disappointed.

    Now really like the "NAME", just for "RUN" only.

    Hey Edwcha, this won't be fixed anytime soon and here's why:


    The way the Jaybird Run's are designed is that the right earbud connects to your phone and the left earbud connects to the right earbud. Now in order for the audio to sync up between the two earbuds since the left gets the signal a little later than the right, the right earbud plays audio a little delayed from the source. This is fine when listening to music since a little delay before a songs is negligible. However this is very noticeable when watching videos or on the phone. When watching videos, the audio will never sync up with the video, it will always be delayed by 1-2 seconds.


    This is confirmed when you only have the right earbud on, videos play fine with no delays on the audio. Since the left earbud is not on, the right one does not need to play back audio delayed in order to make sure the left syncs with the right.


    If you look at the support forms, other users have brought this issue up and my buddy Axel has had the same response for them all:

We will assist as much as we can but it is a limitation of the device and the technology.

    TL;DR: it's a limitation of the technology so deal with it. It's shame because the Apple earpods and the Bose soundsport free's don't seems to have this issue at all.


    I really love Jaybirds but it seems they rushed this product out in order to compete without properly designing and testing it. :/ Guess I'm sticking with my X2's until they die and then moving on. :(

    Jaybird Run audio lag fix: Install Metronome app from Google Play and go to app settings. Once there scroll down to Audio Latency Offset. Move the slider above the reset button all the way to the left and just enjoy your videos with the audio as they should be.
