    @Brian Burkhart I am sorry to hear that, try this hard reset and let me know if that helps. 

     

    To reset your X3 buds to their original factory settings, put your buds in pairing mode by turning the buds off then push and hold the center button for more than 4 seconds until you see alternating red/green LED. 

     

    While the LEDs are flashing red/green double tap the center button. Upon successful party reset, the LED turns orange and your buds turn off. 

     

    NOTE: Once your buds have been reset and you power on they will automatically go into paring mode. Select “Forget” or “Remove”  X3 from your device’s bluetooth menu and pair again.

    You ate not going to get any help or support from jaybird team, i have the same issue with all my ios devices, and the lag is very noticeable by around 2 secs, there is no issues with my android devices, i contacted them before and all they said was to do a reset which I tried several times without getting any result, then they disappear and you dont get any reply from them anymore, very disappointing.

    I can only hope that enough people come across this and bring this problem to their attention.

     

    I am returning the Jaybird X3s tonight.  Such a shame that a quality product can be ruined by terrible support.

    Yes I have the latest iOS download.  Please do an actual test on your side of the issue.  Everyone is having this problem.  It isn't just my hardware.  Its everyone I know with Jaybird X3s and iOS devices.

    Hi,

     

    I am also having the same issue, technical information about my device:

    Iphone

    iOS 10.2.1

    Delay: like 1.5 sec and it is very uncomfortable.

    Troubleshooting: I reset the headphones and nothing improve.

     

    What can I do?

    I ultimately returned these and bought some Power Beats.  This is a terrible oversite on their end.  I really liked th Jaybird sound better.

    Same here. Love the X3s, fantastic sound quality. But the sound lag on my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 makes them unusable for me. Such a shame they are not addressing this issue!

    The lag still exist. it's really shame because audio quality of x3 is really good, but not with their conectivity.

    Same problem with my jaybird freedom. There is noticeable audio lag with all my iOS devices. And there is no issue with my android device and my notebook.

    As bluetooth explodes in popularity I'm shocked. On just this one comment post theres 500$ in lost sales. Shame no one on their team cares about this.

    I am bombarding jaybird on twitter demanding a fix, there is an app for the freedom to update the firmware, maybe we can have a similar app so they can send a fix. Maybe if we all send feedback to jaybird demanding a fix from twitter we can expect something from them. We will not be ripped off

    There is no escalation. This is their support. If you open a ticket they'll suggest you update the firmware and iOS. I am assuming this is an issue in sound processing and is done on the headset. Unfortunately the answer is if you value latency, you should return them.

    Hey guys try switching the audio in the Jaybird app for your headphone, should be in the far right tab. I’ve encountered this problem on iPhone 6, 6 plus, 7 plus, X, all iPad pros, and all iPads since the iPad Air 2, excluding the iPad mini’s with my Jaybird X3’s on multiple versions of iOS since the release of these buds. I’ve tried multiple other headphones, haven’t encountered this problem on any other Bluetooth headphones. It is out of sync by at least 1 to 2 seconds 99% of the time. Don’t know for sure if it’s an actual fix, but after swapping audio in app while in middle of YouTube video the audio was in sync. Good luck guys, Will probably swap to the Bluetooth shure 215s, currently replaced my x3’s with a Frankenstein shure 215 monitors connected to adv model 3 Bluetooth cable.

    I think that problem is not about Jaybird. I have a Jaybird X3, a Bose QC 30 and a Meizu EP51 and the sound lag happens with all of then. If you folks take a googling will see that a lot of people using beats also are facing the same issu.

    I think it is an issue about IOS and their way apps works. I have that sound lag with youtube and apple movie, but it doesn't happen with netflix.

    My power beats 3 work just fine. My generic anker headphones work just fine. My waterproof blueant Bluetooth headphones work just fine. I think it’s a certain codec or stream type and Netflix uses something different.

    Hi. I have the same issue too. I have no problem with Spotify but the video lag is unbearable. At least 3 sec lag. I cant enjoy my movie on Netflix. Please fix this.

    Jaybird Run audio lag fix: Install Metronome app from Google Play and go to app settings. Once there scroll down to Audio Latency Offset. Move the slider above the reset button all the way to the left and just enjoy your videos with the audio as they should be.
