    @Kerry Shetline The X# lines have always be iffy with voice commands to Siri. Siri is not the best at hearing speech and the microphone of the X# lines are ok, depending on distance from your mouth. The mic of earphones are open to noise from your surrounding as well, so you need to be close to your mic for Siri to hear you. I noticed that I have to speak, directly, into the X3 mic for Siri to hear me.

    Having Siri better understand what I say would only solve part of the problem. There are situations where Siri understands you completely, but Siri still wants more info, and puts up a microphone icon, waiting for you to physically press that icon on the screen before listening to the next thing you say.

     

    It seems to me that a tap of power button (which currently doesn't do anything while Siri is waiting) should have that same functionality. What I'm wondering is if there's some other trick I'm missing.
