Hi @Beau Brace Unfortunately, not.  If I keep it charging, it continues to be red. So far, it hasn't turn green...

Hi, something similar happens to me, I try to turn it on and nothing happens, I thought that I had run out of battery but at the moment of charging it the light of the x2 stays in green.

    Try this,

Firmly but quickly press the power button 8 times and then hold for 5 seconds. Repeat 2 times.

When finished, plug the headset into the charger and tell me what you see.

Most of the time if the headset turns RED it will charge and function normally again,

Make sure that if the light is red to fully charge the unit again.

Try holding the power button down for 10 seconds also some times it takes longer to turn them on.

I'm having the same issue with a pair I bought a month ago. I tried the steps above but it did not work. When plugged in, it shows a faint yellow (green?) color.

@Beau Brace thanks for the suggestion. I will try and let you know.  FYI, if I plug in the USB cable, the red light comes on, but it does not seems to ever change to green... looks like its not charging?

@Weng Him Koh Yes that could be the issue. Let me know how that rest goes and we can work from there. Thank you!

UPDATE: Beau from Jaybird contacted me and has provided an acceptable resolution. It appears my poor experience described below was isolated. Great to see Jaybird is still committed to their products!

Get your money back and run from this company. They used to be great, standing behind their product. However, Jaybird was acquired by Logitech this year.

I had three (!!!) pair of X/X2's with each failing as you describe. Jaybird promptly replaced the units each time one failed (obviously a known issue situation).

When my third pair stopped working recently, I ran into a cold support system. They claimed the wouldn't replace my defective product because the warranty on the ORIGINAL unit had expired and they provide no warranty on replacement units (ref # 04380526).

There are many great alternatives available on Amazon now ... many at 1/3 the price. Get your money back and buy from any other company than this. So sad to see the decline of a once potentially strong brand.

Same problem here with the freedoms. I got these as a replacement for my x2s that just stopped pairing. The customer experience was beyond horrible but after 3 weeks they sent me the freedoms. I got the freedoms less than a week ago and charged them before my run today. They died in the middle and I couldn't get them to turn back on. I did the 8 button reset and got them to turn on and connect but as soon as I disconnect the battery pack they turn off and won't turn on again. I've tried holding down the power button for ten seconds too. Nothing. I really want to love these earbuds. I spent a lot of money on them and I hate to think that I just flushed that down the drain. Maybe it's time to give up. I tried a set of Bose SoundSport earbuds in the store. Of course the quality was amazing.

@James Laughlin Will the headset charge as normal? Do you receive LED lights and the headset will not turn on?

When I plug mine in the color is usually red, but will turn green eventually, but then if I plug it in again it starts off red again. Once theyre unplugged, they will not turn on at all. What can I do? The reset thing did nothing. Thank you.

Mine won't turn on or stay on. Had for 7 months. Very upset as they just quit working on a Saturday long run. Now can't even get them to stay on when fully charged. Going to try the reset but when I put them on the charger, theautomatically show green and then flash red every few minutes. Waste of money. Hoping someone from jay bird sees the post and offers me a solution.

I've just got may X2 about a year and a half ago. I've just got the same issue that you have. Tried everything written here. Nothing works. So I've 200$ Canadian for a pair of headphones that will only last enough to get out of warranty? I can believe it's normal. Is it?

I've e-mail them, try to contact them... no one answers... they just don't care.. They realize the product has a defect and no one wants to take responsability... 180 dollars throw to the garbage.. To who can we complain?
