    Hi LilBit07,

I'm sorry that you are not able to pair/connect your Jaybird headset and mobile device. I'm more than happy to help you with the concern.

Please follow the steps for a factory reset that corresponds to the model of your Jaybird.

    - Jaybird X2 and Bluebuds X

    1. Turn headphones off.

    2. Put in Pairing mode by holding the middle button for 6-8 seconds until it says "Searching for your Music Device" and wait for the headset to flash red and green.

    3. Do a reset by holding both volume buttons down 6-8 seconds and wait for the headset to flash orange 3 times.

    4. Delete or "Forget" the headset profile from the Bluetooth list of the mobile device.

    5. Put headphones back into pairing mode and connect them to your device.

    6. Test the headset afterwards.

    - Jaybird Freedom

    1. Turn headphones off.

    2. Put headphones into Pairing mode by holding the middle button for 6-8 seconds until it says "Searching for your Music Device" and the headphones to flash red and green.

    3. Once in Pairing Mode, push the middle button twice and wait for the lights to flash red and turn off.

    4. Delete or "Forget" the headset profile from the Bluetooth list of the mobile device.

    5. Put headphones back into pairing mode and connect them to your device.

    6. Test the headset afterwards.

    - Jaybird X3

    1. Make sure your buds are powered off.

    2. From an off state, press and hold the power button for 8 seconds until the LEDs flash red and green.

    3. Double press the power button. The LED will flash rapidly and you should hear a double tone. Your buds have now been reset.

NOTE: When you reset your buds, you will lose any saved presets and any saved devices on the paired list. You’ll need to repair your buds to your Bluetooth device.

    Hope this helps.

    Warm regards,

    Egie

I have the same problem. My Jaybird 2 headset will not connect to my iPhone ... it does not show up on "my devices". They are a week old. I have tried all of the re-sets noted above. Not happy with this and very frustrating. Seems like a very common problem ... ?

I have the same problem as Jouannie4. My X3 won't pair and the voice is deeper than usual. My first X3 stopped working after a week, was replaced by a new one and this lasted 2 months. I already tried resetting and it still does not work.

    I found a solution:

firstly i I kept the headphones on until the battery went flat, I kept switching them on until the were absolutely dead. Then I recharged them, when I switched them on I held the middle button for about 15 seconds and voila they paired to my iPod. Switched them off/on again and they paired to my iPad.

the main thing I did different was completely drain the battery, previously I had not done that, just recharged at around 20%

So I had the same problem after I updated the firmware. All I did was forget the device on my iPhone and it popped up with a new name.

I let it fully discharge, fully charged again and returned to normal operation ...

You have to FULLY DRAIN THE BATTERY so it’s completely dead, then do a full re charge and sync to the device you want. It will not sync otherwise and you are wasting your time if you even try. once you have done that they will sync to that device all the time, it’s just the initial sync that is the problem.

I just re tested this again this morning, the X3s would not sync to my phone but after doing the above they synced no problem.

are your X3s synced to any device at all? If so keep, playing music, movie whatever until, they are drained, just turning them on without doing anything won’t do it

I have the same issue with mine X3s as well as a slowed voice once the battery reaches about 80% charge. Also, the lights no longer work. This is only after owning the device for a few months and barely using them. I have concluded that these are simply a piece of junk and a loss of $100! I will never buy another product from this company!

Make sure the headphones are off, then hold the power button until it flashes red and green, now it's looking for your device and the name will come through on your phone(this actually worked for me)

No matter how many times I tried to pair, my Pixel 3 wouldn't find them. So, I uninstalled the Jaybird app, then instantly my phone was able to find them. I think the app interferes with the pairing.

I'm having the exact same issues at LaReeT. This is my 4th pair of Jaybirds (X1, X2 and 2 X3s), and all have become defective after several months of usage. Now Jaybirds says because the warranty on my original purchase has expired, they will no longer be sending new replacements - which is unfortunate because I've only had my replacement X3s for 4 months before they started malfunctioning...AGAIN. Hands down, one of the worst headphones on the market - completely unreliable and are constantly breaking.

This is what I found on this site but on a different question:

    Factory reset

    Try this:

    1. Spread the left ear piece as far a part as you can from the right.
    2. Find a solid pair of scissors, not those plastic safety scissors.
    3. Cut the cord.
    4. Never buy Jaybirds again, because there products are awful and will continue to break.
