When I pause a podcast (Apple iOS), it pauses audio on my running app Zombies, Run! The app audio should continue when I pause podcast. This has not happened with other Bluetooth headphones, including JF3s or JF4s. Thoughts?

    Thank you for posting here in support community. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with the Jaybird RUN. I highly suggest you to perform a factory reset that can help to resolve your issue.


    To soft reset your right earbud:


    -Place your right earbud into the charge case and close the lid.

    -Open the charge case and remove your earbud.


    To hard reset your right earbud:


    -Turn off your right earbud by pressing the right multifunction button for 3 seconds.

    -With your right earbud off, press and hold the right multifunction button for 6 seconds until the LED flashes green.

    -Double press the right multifunction button. The LED will flash orange and the earbud will turn off. Your earbud has now been reset.

    Hard reset did not work. The Runs still function differently than other Bluetooth headphones I have used with my running app - Zombies, Run! I still use JF4s. I also used JF3s and Bluebuds over the years. When I start/stop my podcast (Apple iOS) with the Jaybird Runs, it starts/stops audio on my running app Zombies, Run! audio. This also happens if I start/stop audio on the iPhone itself. With other headphones, including the JF4s, when I start/pause podcast audio the app audio continues. Other thoughts? This would be a deal breaker for me with the Jaybird Run headphones. I am committed to Zombies, Run! In fact I have done a Zombies, Run! mission (or race) every day for over a year (and running….)     I ain't sure what's the problem too.

    I am listening to apple music, and when there are incoming voice messages in whatsapp, Normally in the past with my X2, I would just tap and listen to them, the music will just go lower volume and hear clearly the voice messages, after that, the music will back on. But now with Jaybird Run, it won't even play the voice messages (no sound). I need to turn off the music (swipe up), and listen to voice messages. And then reopen the music app to start music again.

    The sound just don't switch between apps, you need to close 1 app in order to listen to the sound in another app.


    I am currently using 7 plus with ios 11.0.3 and will update to 11.1 to see if problem persist.

    Same issue for me also but jaybird is not answering for this question alone. I have seen many posts like this but no proper response from the support team. Its a very basic functionality of an Bluetooth headset. Audio not switching to the current process playing.
