Jaybird Freedoms won't turn on

    Hi SW142938,

     

    I'm sorry to hear that your Jaybird Freedom stopped working and you are not able to use it for your weekly runs. I'm more than happy to give you information that can help you with the concern.

     

    I would like to know the specific issue with the Jaybird Freedom. Knowing this will help me provide you the suggestions appropriate for your concern.

     

    For now, I suggest that you make sure that the headset is clean and dry before charging/using it. Also, perform a factory reset by following the steps below.

     

    1. Turn headphones off.

    2. Put headphones into Pairing mode by holding the middle button for 6-8 seconds until it says "Searching for your Music Device" and the headphones to flash red and green.

    3. Once in Pairing Mode, push the middle button twice and wait for the lights to flash red and turn off. 

    4. Delete or "Forget" the headset profile from the Bluetooth list of the mobile device. 

    5. Put headphones back into pairing mode and connect them to your device. 

    6. Test the headset afterwards.

     

    If the headset does not power ON and/or charge properly, try using a different USB cable and charge the headset on a PC as power source instead.

    I can confirm I did all these steps with no success.

     

    Thanks for your help today. I can confirm I tried charging using a different power source. I don't think there is failure on the charging clip as the orange / green light works so I think the problem is with the battery of the headset itself or something else. I wore these the other day on a run and it was pretty humid so I was sweating a bit more than usual so it may have been that. 

     

    I have a receipt of purchase from Best Buy in December 2016. Can you please help?
