    Hi exus18,

We currently do not have an option to decrease the volume or disable the voice prompts. I appreciate your post and feedback about it and I will have your thoughts and insights forwarded to the appropriate team here in Jaybird.

Feel free to post for any other concerns or questions.

    Best regards,

    Egie

Please fix this… I am going to have to stop using them. "BATTERY 20%" out of nowhere makes me jump out of my skin!

I just bought a pair of X3's and would also like the prompts to be softer or go away completely.

Yeah, you need to fix this. The voice prompt is a really annoying feature and the volume is way to loud. I was currently listening to music with the volume turned way down when suddenly the voice prompt girl screams "battery twenty percent". I really like the headphones but the prompts are ruining my experience with them. I've seen that there are a lot of people that are complaining about this and releasing an update that fixes this issue should be fairly simple.

Yes please! I just bought these and the new voice and the jingle playing when they power on, nearly jumped out of my skin! Maybe just an option to hear small beeps or something?

There will never be an update. We should start a class action suit. Here's a transcript of my chat session with a support rep:

Christopher John D (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎15‎:‎57‎ ‎AM): Hello! Thank you for reaching out to Jaybird Support. I will be with you in a moment.

Christopher John D (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎16‎:‎21‎ ‎AM): Hi, how can i assist you today?

Me (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎17‎:‎18‎ ‎AM): Will there be an update to turn off or lower the volume on the Freedom as promised since January 2017 in this support forum post? https://support.jaybirdsport.com/s/question/0D55A00006vjvMYSAY/any-chance-a-future-update-will-change-the-volume-or-voice-prompts

Christopher John D (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎20‎:‎06‎ ‎AM): I want to inform you that this issue has been clarified and unfortunately there will be no update for increasing or lowering down the voice prompt as that function is simply not available for the device

Me (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎21‎:‎22‎ ‎AM): Can you submit it as a feature request for future models? I'll be returning the headphones in the mean time

Christopher John D (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎21‎:‎51‎ ‎AM): Actually the current model Jaybird Run has that feature

Me (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎22‎:‎28‎ ‎AM): Any way I can exchange my headphone for that one?

    Christopher John D (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎22‎:‎47‎ ‎AM): Unfortunately we don't have exchange process

Me (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎24‎:‎10‎ ‎AM): Can you submit a request for one to be set up? There are plenty of frustrated users from what I read about this problem on your support forum and Reddit

Christopher John D (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎26‎:‎32‎ ‎AM): I regret to inform you that we simply don't have a process for exchange.

Here in customer care support we only do warranty exchange and those exchange is only for the same unit that went bad.

Me (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎27‎:‎51‎ ‎AM): This problem is pretty bad. My ears ring after every notification. Like my hearing is getting damaged every time

Me (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎29‎:‎45‎ ‎AM): It's unbelievable that you don't recognize it as a major problem. I may have to sue if I found out that this headphone permanently damaged my hearing. There are enough people to file a class action suit.

Christopher John D (‎12‎/‎21‎/‎2017‎ ‎10‎:‎33‎:‎01‎ ‎AM): To avoid the issue simply return it back to your point of purchase as we don't want you to have some health related issues with our device.

I got the same answer from Good Guy Christopher, the only rep that has told me the truth. I posted screenshots here on 12/26/17:

Seriously unscrupulous to keep telling us this will get fixed. Never buying Jaybird again.
