Jaybird freedoms won't turn on or charge?

    Hi Mitchcabioc,


    I'm sorry to hear that your Jaybird Freedom will not power ON and charge properly. I'm more than happy to help you with your concern.


    Please try a factory reset that can help resolve the issue with the headset.


    1. Firmly but quickly press the power button 8 times and then hold for 5 seconds. Repeat 2 times.

    2. When finished, plug the headset into the charger for 2.5 hours and check the color of the LED status lights.

    3. Power ON the device by holding the power button for 10 seconds or more.


    NOTE: Most of the time if the headset turns RED, it will charge and function normally again. Make sure to fully charge the headset when the light is red.

    Something says that there is more than a factory reset needed here.  My set have done exactly the same as all the others on here.  Hardly any use either - 10 runs?  The reset does not work.

    Mine started doing the same thing this morning! Has anyone had success in fixing them? Sure seems it's a common issue Jaybird should address!

    All of these things are happening with mine: They will not charge beyond 20%. Will not keep a charge as the battery drains quickly. Hopefully I can get a new pair or something because these were expensive! The girl at the Apple store really pushed them on me! LOL

    Same thing is going on with mine. I've contacted support but haven't heard back. Anyone figured out a way to fix this?

    Same problem!! I contacted support this morning, we shall see. Really disappointed as I love the fit.

    I just bought a new pair today and they are not charging.  Did anyone get an answer to this question??

    I just bought my Freedom 2 headphones, and the charging clip charges, but the headphones do not. Without the charging clip, I cannot use the headphones. Any suggestions?

    I think the headphones are dead when this occurs. This brand has terrible quality.

    So did anyone solve this shit? Nothing seems to work. Did anyone get a replacement?

    My issue got fixed by changing the battery and turning it on. After that, I was able to swap the old battery back in, and the headphones worked again. I was right about to return it back to Costco too before it started working again.
