Earbuds won’t charge plugged in or not
My earbuds are consistently at 20% When I plug in my charger with my earbuds in it I come back hours later and they’re still at the same low battery.
I’ve tried charging the case and putting the earbuds in after (unplugged) and coming back to them and it still the same problem.
I tried turning off my earbuds and as soon as I put them in I hear it say “power on”
Any help?!

Hi Cait87,
I am sorry to hear that your Jaybird X2 won't properly charge. This is not the behavior and performance expected from the product. Please try these suggestions that can help to resolve the issue of your headset:
- Computers are the best and safest method, as is anything 1 AMP or less.
- Try a different power source/charger
- Car chargers produce a much greater power supply and should be avoided.
- Over-charging the battery will quickly reduce the life of the headphones, so in addition to monitoring the power supply, limit the charge time to 2 hours,
- To get the most out of your battery it is recommended to charge the buds when the low battery status is indicated.
- Avoid charging your headphones after exposure to sweat.
- Make sure charging port/cradle is clear of any debris.

Hi Bruce, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately I have tried all of these helpful options and they are still not working. My headphones consistently say "battery low, please charge" despite me putting them on the charger from my computer, never around sweat or wet, etc. I am hoping I can be sent a replacement pair as these are defective and unusable after just about 3 months of use. Many thanks, Caitlin -
Same thing happened to me. It would charge but it takes almost 6 hours to get 80%. Then it just stopped charging. I also thought it's my charging method. Boyfriend was suppose to open and check inside. So he cleaned the charging points on both unit and charger. Turns out it was just dirty and blocked (LOL). Jaybirds are working perfectly again.
