@Nick Young Does the headset recharge every time you plug the headset in? Or does the light turn green instantly?

Usually it goes red and recharges. occasionally it will go green instantly, but it still wont turn on after that.

My support case was closed, citing out of warranty (2 years past purchase). This is very disappointing - I spent a lot of money on these earphones with a claimed "Lifetime Warranty Against Sweat", but am now being told they are worthless.

    @Enes Basic @Dave Sprague

    Try this,

Firmly but quickly press the power button 8 times and then hold for 5 seconds. Repeat 2 times.

When finished, plug the headset into the charger and tell me what you see.

Most of the time if the headset turns RED it will charge and function normally again,

Make sure that if the light is red to fully charge the unit again.

Try holding the power button down for 10 seconds also some times it takes longer to turn them on.

Any news here? I'm fighting now with my pair and have exactly the same issue. They were working fine for 2y+ and then suddenly (nothing happened with them) they stopped to work. To my, it seems like "by Design" behavior and JayBird is simply trying people to buy other headphones... I'll ensure none of my friends get close to this brand!!!

Gogo123... I found my receipt and it's still under 2 yrs, so they are going to replace mine......

@Mariusz Gorzoch Have you tried any 8x resets or any trouble shooting steps that have been listed above?

    I have tried ( 8x Power + 5sec ) x 2 and I did this couple of times. None of those worked.

What is really odd for me is that those headphones were working perfectly fine. Last time when I've used them, they even didn't get really wet. I remember also that I've connected them to my laptop to charge them. Next time when I've tried to use them I found them dead.

Thank you for coming back so quickly. I appreciate that. All details you should have already in your mailbox. Although if there is some way I could manually reset them and bring them back to live then please share here so everyone else can use that.

@Mariusz Gorzoch Of course it was my pleasure, also if that reset above did not help then that is my only reset that I can offer if the headset will not function.

I've also have had my Blue Buds for several years and today they decided to stop working. They had disconnected from my phone several times and I figured it was from being too far away. The first two times I simply reconnected, albeit after some unresponsive tries. On the third time, however, they refused to turn on and displaying a blue LED. I can't seem to find anywhere that mentions a solid blue LED. I plugged in the device thinking maybe it had died, although I remember the battery displaying as full on my phone. The only thing that seemed to accomplish was make my LED blue and red, nearly half red and half blue. I tried to reset the device as prescribed above, but had no success. Any recommendations?

Beau/Jaybird thank you for your quick response and helping me on my case. I need to admit that I was quite surprised with time of response and being so eager to help and solve my problem. Thanks to you I still think about Jaybird? as a great brand.

Hi Jaybird team, I got a BuebudsX CAMO. It is not able to powerup. Following the reset procedure does not bring it back to life. I use mine once a week in the gym only and after 1 year +, it just died on me.

I have several other bluetooth earphone:

Plantronics backbeat go 2 that I have given to my wife after I got the Jaybird still working well. She used it in the gym too.

Sony, MW600 for workday use, is still going strong after 2+ years.

Plantronics backbeat 903+ that is use during cycling is still working.

The local distributor in Singapore is of no help as they said that the warranty is only for 1 year.

I bought Jaybird for its great sound quality, battery life and claims for lifetime warranty against sweat. It is the most expensive among the bluetooth earphones that I owned. It was well taken care of, never abused. I'm extremely disappointed with the jaybird product quality.

How can it just not work after 1 year +?
