@Ercan KAYMAK Can the person on the other end of the phone call her anything at all? Any background noise? Static?

@Beau Brace , they don't hear anything, including background noise. Is that something about bluetooth standarts/profiles? It seems that mic output is not streaming over bluetooth through Note 4 phone app. I installed 3 different roms but no luck. I tried the X3's on 5 differeent phones, working perfectly with them.

@Ercan KAYMAK And are you answering the call with the headset? If you do answer the calls with the headset, is there any progress in noise from the mic?

@Beau Brace , I'm answering with headset, yes. I can hear my own microphone voice from the x3 ear pieces. Mic is listening, streaming to my ears (feels like a kind of echo), but the other person can't hear any sound (like mic is not working)...

@Ercan KAYMAK And is the phone allowing the headset access to the Mic when the headset is paired?

Hi I am having the exact same problem with my note 4. Have you found out what is the problem?

@Antonis Bakothanasis , I couldn't found the problem, I'm using Freedom, without any problem now. Did you find?

@Ercan KAYMAK I will take a stab at this. The Note 4 that you have is running different roms, which means that the base firmware may not be compatible with the Jaybird X3s. As @Antonis Bakothanasis mentioned of similar problems with his Note 4, the firmware would probably be the most likely culprit. Especially since you tested it on other devices and it worked fine. This would mean that a firmware update from Jaybird or from Samsung can help fix this.

I haven't changed the ROM on my Note 4. Still using the default that came with the phone. The Mic on the Jaybird X3 will not work on the Galaxy Note 4.

When i pair it with my PC it works fine. Pair it with the phone and it doesn't work.

This basically cuts the usefulness of this headset in half because i only listen to music from my phone. This means when someone calls, i have to disable bluetooth so that the other party can hear me.

I can't believe this is a problem with the Samsung firmware because the bluetooth in my car works flawlessly.

Has anyone been able to fix this?

@Long Phan  I also installed the factory stock rom, didn't helped either. Any firmware update possible for the X3 for fixing this issue through mysound app or etc.? Appearently Samsung has finished to update firmwares for Note 4. My phone works with car, bluetooth spakers, other brands' earbuds, but not with X3s... There is a tiny conflict between the buds and note 4 modem/firmware. And as you can see, there are other Note 4 users experiencing the same problem like @Colin Theobald  and @Antonis Bakothanasis

@Humaid Alzaabi are you saying that the mic sometimes does work on your Note 4? I've never experienced that. My mic never works on the Note 4 at all. I've tested a number of other Bluetooth headsets and they all work fine on my Note 4. It's only the X3 mic that doesn't work. However, if i pair the X3 with my PC (e.g. a skype call) it works fine. So it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue with this particular X3. There seems to be something about the X3 firmware that is incompatible with the Note 4.

@Colin Theobald that's exactly what I am saying. I used to have X2 and it worked fine, I also used other bluetooth headsets without any issue with my GN4. Only the X3, the microphone gets muted randomly. It doesn't matter whether I'm placing the call or receiving it. Some times it works and sometimes it's muted!!!

Same problem also. 2nd set of FREEDOM headset and same problem with NOTE 4, although it did work at the beginning but just like my first set, stopped turning on the mic. Looks like JAYBIRD has stopped responding. Waiting for the NOTE 8, hopefully they will work with it.

Just wanted to let you know that I have switched to Galaxy S8+ and have no issue using the same X3. So the problem could be related to Note 4 bluetooth setup and not Jaybird.
