    HI,

I am sorry that you are having some connection issues, try this reset below and see if your are still experiencing connectivity issues.

To reset your X3 buds to their original factory settings, put your buds in pairing mode by turning the buds off then push and hold the center button for more than 4 seconds until you see alternating red/green LED.

While the LEDs are flashing red/green double tap the center button. Upon successful party reset, the LED turns orange and your buds turn off.

NOTE: Once your buds have been reset and you power on they will automatically go into paring mode. Select “Forget” or “Remove”  X3 from your device’s bluetooth menu and pair again.

Reset the X3 multiple times, paired with only iPhone and then Android, no improvement.  Dropouts are continuous if the phone is further than the distance from my chest to my ears when walking or running.  Put in a support request for an RMA to get a refund yesterday, still waiting for a response.

I have the same issue with mine. I have two pairs of the X2s and one pair of the X3s. I can run with my phone in my hip pocket and sometimes have a connectivity issue, with my X2s. With my X3s, it sounds like I am playing music behind a fan and get to listen to choppy music for my whole run. I tried the gamut during my run to fix it and the only thing that did was also holding the phone chest level.

I think Jaybird designed the headphones to have optimal outdoor connectivity for people who either run with their music player in the hands or strapped to their upper arm. So you will get to listen to choppy music and either be ok with it or fuss over it for the run.

I also have this problem and it is a reason why i'm here. I got my X3 2 weeks ago and since i saw great reviews online, i am very excited to use it during my workout. I experienced this terrible issue as well. When i put my phone on my right hand pocket, the signal is very unstable and i got intermittent sound on my X3. I don't have issues like this when i was using the JBL Reflect Mini BT. I thought the connectivity issues resolved due to the new bluetooth technology put on this headset. It is very annoying and unsatisfied of the product. I don't have connection issue though, if the phone is on my armband.
