JAYBIRD X2 HELP PLEASE! I have had the same issue And I have unsuccessfully been trying to get through to the company on phone many times but I lose patience once being rerouted by an automated service line. I have my receipt showing I purchased these headphones at the end of October through best buy online but it arrived at my home in the middle of November of last year. So, my ear buds are over the one year deadline. I was hoping an exception might be made due to the time window. I am only over the date by a few days more than a month. 1year, 1month, and 20days. I am a loyal customer, I have owned 3 generations of jaybird ear buds. And I plan on continuing my loyalty, although I would appreciate any help in replacing or repairing these headphones even if I must pay a certain amount. These are my only headphones and I cannot afford a new pair as of yet..I am in college and am in debt up to my ears. ANYTHING would be unbelievably appreciated. I am sorry, but this is my only way of reaching out to your company " Jaybird " Please, and thank you! Antonio Vertentes

    Hi fruzickaiv,

I'm sorry to hear that you Jaybird X2 does not power ON. Please try a factory reset that can help resolve the issue with the headset.

    1. Firmly but quickly press the power button 8 times and then hold for 5 seconds. Repeat 2 times.

    2. When finished, plug the headset into the charger for 2.5 hours and check the color of the LED status lights.

    3. Power ON the device by holding the power button for 10 seconds or more.

NOTE: Most of the time if the headset turns RED, it will charge and function normally again. Make sure to fully charge the headset when the light is red.

Feel free to post back for the results or additional information.

    Warm regards,

    Egie

I am also having this exact same issue. Went for a run, headphones were great. Came back and charged them up from Red to Green --> now the power button does nothing. They just don't come on.

I have tried the fix you suggested with the hard reset. When I plug in the headphones the light is still green. Still no power.

Additionally, the suggestion here says to repeat the 8 presses + 5 second hold on the power button. But the article here: https://support.jaybirdsport.com/s/article/ka131000000BXhSAAW/Troubleshooting-Jaybird-power-on-and-charging-issues?t=1498331720080 says to do this with all three physical buttons.

So which is it?! Conflicting resolution.

    Thank you.

Hi everyone, not sure if this is the same situation but sounds similar. I have had mine for about 6 months or longer and here is what I find. As mentioned they can work great, I have used them in the morning and plenty of battery but then sometimes won’t turn on later in the day no matter what. I have found putting them on charge even for a minute seems to wake them up and I can then switch them on again and use them for several days. Not sure why this works but seems to of worked for me on several occasions

I also have been experiencing the same issue, just BEFORE the warranty expired. Received them as a Christmas gift in Dec 2016 and they started experiencing the issue with not turning on after charging just before Christmas 2017. I contacted the service desk and nothing works. The earphones only last for one charging, using for 45-60 minutes, and then have to place on the charger again. One way I have some sporadic luck is that you don't rely on the "green" or "red" light when it says it's done charging. WRONG. I can take off when green and go to turn on and it only lasts 15 minutes. You have to put it back to charge and then try turning on and off, but leave on once you have ON after charging and don't turn off if on way to gym or they just stay dead. Jaybird will not be a product I buy again due to faulty workmanship and insufficient helpdesk. Hoping this changes in the near future.... 11 months of working at this price is extremely poor. Easier to get some sport wired ear buds for $12 at a big box store that last LONGER than 11 months.
