Okay, so I've had this confirmed by someone who isn't my wife who has stressed that when I'm talking on my BlueBirds (either my X or X2) they hear a rhythmic sound going in the background.
I'm pretty sure this has happened with both, but I had to call my cell phone provider using my x2 and had a long talk with them. I was using my new 7 Plus, but this issue has been ongoing with my previous phone, a 6 Plus.
I don't know how to better isolate what's happening, I'm going to try and do some voice recording and see if I hear it there, also. But I'm very torn and confused as to how to figure out what might be causing it, could it be interference from my home? I have no issues listening to audio over it, there are no drops, it seems exclusively from the microphone on the headset.
A few other notes I had not paired the x2 with my 6 Plus, and I set my new phone up from scratch, not from backup, so no settings (other than the basic iCloud stuff) were copied, and yet the sound distortion is still happening.
As an addendum, I have recordings of the sounds that I sent to Customer Service as well, I'll include the links to those here:
