    Hi SK930276,

    I am sorry to hear that your Jaybird X3 Bluetooth connection cuts over 2 meters. I can assure that this is not the behavior and performance expected from the product.

    Lets try to do a factory reset this should solve this issue you’re experiencing.

    1) Turn headphones off

    2) Put headphones in pairing mode (hold middle button for 6-8 seconds until it says, "Searching for your Music Device")

    3) LED will flash red and green

    4) Hold both volume buttons down 6-8 seconds, this will reset the headphones

    5) LED will flash orange 3 times

    6) Delete Bluetooth profile from device

    7) Put headphones back into pairing mode and connect them to your device.

    If this troubleshooting steps does not resolved the issue. I highly suggest to contact our support team for further assistance. You can reach them via Chat, Email or Phone at https://jaybirdsport.com/en-roeu/support.html

    Best Regards

    @Romil Español I don't have X3's. I said I had freedoms. What the reset process for them or is their range lower?

    @Sean Kelly?

    The reset for both the Freedom and X3 are both the same. It is a good way to completely reestablish a bluetooth connection between your devices. Give it a shot, however you will not get quite the bluetooth range from the Freedoms or X3's as our previous units due to the higher Bluetooth frequency used to get the mass improvement in sound quality.

    I had the same problem, did a factory reset (same issue). Replaced buds (same issue), software refresh (same issue). Will be returning these and go back to my BlueBud-X ?

    Hi @Dan Lee?

    A lot plays into the connection, with the X3 and Freedom here are some further tips we have found to help the overall connection.

    Try keeping the side with the control panel on the same side as your music player Vice versa, since the control panel is were the antenna is. Also if you wear them over the ear in the Xfit version of fit I have found that effects the connection and I suggest wearing them under the ear with the clips and it should improve your connection.

    I bought the freedoms with the intent of wearing them over the ear. Dangling clips tend to get caught in collars and hoods. No Thank-You! I always ensured that the controls and phone are on the same side, but the sound still cuts in and out. The X2s beat the newer versions Hands Down. In this arena function is MUCH more important than form. Unfortunately when my X's go I will probably need to go to another brand.

    @Dan Lee?

    I completely understand I completely understand and honestly you should have be able to hold a stable connection. I wonder if anything else is effecting the connection, do you have any other bluetooth devices connected at the same time? Like a smart watch or any 3rd party running apps?

    Thank you for your feedback it is greatly appreciated as we are always trying to improve our products.

    Only an apple watch connected and only Nike+ while running. Which has been used without issue for years with your legacy products

    @Dan Lee?

    Ok,

    We have ran into issues in the past that Running apps have really effected previous products as well as some smart watches. Apple watches have always worked well with our products. I was just curious if this may be playing into the overall signal strength.

    I used the same EXACT appliances and software. The ONLY difference was when Freedoms were unreliable when compared to the legacy X or X2s

    From my personal experience I used to get about 30 FT of bluetooth connection with the X and X2 it was unreal. With the new Freedoms and X3 I have seen that drop to about 10-15 Ft. depending on my location/surroundings. However with the mysound app and upgrades to the device I get much improved premium sound. The range of sound is impressive but I can tell with that it did effect the overall BT range. The connection should stay stable enough to finish a workout without cutting out.

    It seems these are the biggest differences between the devices. From what it sounds like the X2 just maybe a better device for you needs.
