Headset stopped working

I have had my headset for 2 years and has been working fine.  Last week it just stopped working and now will not charge. I can try another cord bur any other suggestions or is it just dead.

  @Howard Kibrick I would definetly try another cord to be safe. Sometimes we do see that cords are the issue.

  Thanks Beau. So i did try plugging it in with a different cord and i decided to see if would turn on while plugged in.  It did for 3-4 seconds but then went out.  The red light flashed for a few seconds longer than stopped.  I left it in for an hour and still nothing.
